Fawell & Fawell Out-of-State Student Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be enrolled in or accepted to a U.S. college or university located in a state different from where the applicant attended high school or where their parents currently live.
  • Must be an undergraduate student.
  • Must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher as of the most recent academic semester completed.​
  • Must be above the age of 17.​
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

Application Process

  • Complete the online application form available at the scholarship page.​
  • Submit identifying information confirming out-of-state student status.​
  • Provide proof of enrollment and documentation of GPA (e.g., acceptance letter and academic transcript).​
  • Write and submit an essay of approximately 500 words addressing the following prompt:​
  • "What challenges and difficulties have affected you as an out-of-state student? Have you struggled with leaving your family and settling into an unfamiliar environment? How do you plan to overcome these challenges and achieve success in your academic efforts?"​
     
  • Documents Required
    • Proof of enrollment (e.g., acceptance letter).​
    • Academic transcript demonstrating GPA.​
    • Essay responding to the specified prompt.

Scholarship Benefits

    • A one-time $1,000 scholarship applicable towards tuition, housing, educational costs, or transportation-related expenses.​
