Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must have completed or will complete a first or higher degree at a recognized university in their home country.​
  • Open to citizens or permanent residents of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom, normally residing in their home country at the time of application.​
  • Applicants must apply for and gain admission to a full-time graduate program at Harvard University.
  • Fellowships are not open to those already studying at Harvard or residing in the U.S. at the time of application.
  • Programs primarily based online, requiring extensive fieldwork, or certain research appointments may be ineligible.​

Application Process

  • Apply for admission to the chosen graduate program at Harvard University.​
  • Submit a separate application for the Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship through the designated in-country organization.​
     
  • Documents Required:
    • Completed fellowship application form
    • Personal essay detailing academic pursuits, intellectual interests, extracurricular activities, reasons for studying at Harvard, and future career plans
    • Curriculum Vitae
    • Two letters of reference
    • Official academic transcripts

Scholarship Benefits
