Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Separate admissions to both Chicago Booth's PhD program and the University of Chicago Law School.
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum overall score of 100.
- IELTS Academic: Minimum overall score of 7, with at least 7 in each subsection.
- GRE, GMAT, or LSAT scores as required by the respective programs.
Application Process
- Prepare and submit separate applications to both the Chicago Booth PhD program and the University of Chicago Law School.
- Ensure all required documents are submitted for each application.
- Await admission decisions from both schools.
- Upon acceptance to both programs, coordinate enrollment into the joint degree program.
- Documents Required:
- Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
- Standardized test scores (GRE, GMAT, or LSAT).
- Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS), if applicable.
- Letters of recommendation.
- Statement of purpose or personal statement.
- Resume or curriculum vitae.
Scholarship Benefits
- Funding Coverage:
- Full tuition waiver for five to six years of full-time study.
- Annual stipend of $50,000 (as of Fall 2024), guaranteed through years 1-5.
