Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarships Scheme

Must be an international student.
Applied for but not yet commenced a bachelor's or master's by coursework degree that is a CRICOS-registered award program, usually delivered onshore at the University of Sydney.
Received an unconditional offer of admission by the relevant close date.

No separate scholarship application is required. All eligible students who have secured an unconditional offer of admission by the specified dates will be automatically considered.

Funding Coverage:
- Scholarships are offered at four levels based on academic merit:
- $40,000 payable for one year in two equal installments per semester.
- $20,000 payable for one semester.
- $10,000 payable for one semester.
- $5,000 payable for one semester.
Duration of Funding:
- Depending on the scholarship amount:
- $40,000: Covers one academic year.
- $20,000, $10,000, and $5,000: Cover one semester.

Selection Criteria:
- Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, assessed from a student's application for admission.
Conditions:
- Recipients must complete the acceptance of their unconditional offer by the relevant deadline associated with their scholarship offer round and remain enrolled after the census date.
- Deferral or suspension of the scholarship is not permitted except in exceptional circumstances.
- The scholarship is non-renewable and is only awarded once during the first year of commencement.
