Eligibility Criteria
- Early-career faculty members from African universities.
- Demonstrated commitment to research and academic excellence.
- Proficiency in English is required.
Application Process
- Prepare a research proposal outlining the objectives and significance of the intended project.
- Secure a letter of support from a faculty member at the University of Michigan.
- Complete the online application form available on the UMAPS website.
- Submit all required documents by the application deadline.
- Documents Required:
- Research proposal.
- Letter of support from a U-M faculty collaborator.
- Curriculum vitae.
- Proof of employment at an African university.
- Academic transcripts and certificates.
Scholarship Benefits
- Funding Coverage:
- Five months of residency at the University of Michigan.
- Round-trip airfare from home country to Ann Arbor, Michigan.
- Free housing (private room and bath in a suite setting).
