Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be applying to start a new full-time DPhil course at Oxford in a subject linked to the natural sciences, technology, or medicine
- Must be ordinarily resident in Hong Kong
- Must hold a Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card.
- Must intend to reside in Hong Kong once the course is completed.
- Should hold an undergraduate degree with first-class Honours (or equivalent) or a substantive postgraduate degree at Master's level or above
Application Process
- Submit an application for graduate study to Oxford by the relevant December or January deadline for the chosen course.
- Additionally, apply to the Croucher Foundation by their deadline, normally in November.
- Documents Required:
- Completed application form for the chosen DPhil program.
- Academic transcripts.
- Personal statement.
- Reference letters.
- Any additional documents as specified by the respective department and the Croucher Foundation.
Scholarship Benefits
- Funding Coverage:
- Full coverage of course fees.
- A grant for living costs (at least £19,968)
- The Croucher Foundation may also consider applications directly from scholarship recipients for the cost of airfares and conference attendance.
- Duration of Funding:
- Awards are made for the full duration of the fee liability for the agreed course
- Extra Benefits:
- Opportunities to engage with the academic community at Oxford and the network of Croucher scholars.
