Eligibility Criteria

  • All PhD programs offered at Chicago Booth.
  • Admission to the Stevens Doctoral Program.
     
  • Other Requirements:
    • Satisfactory academic progress (cumulative GPA of 2.33 and completion of at least 66% of attempted courses).
    • Completion of the PhD Academic Progress Report and Five-Year Plan.
    • For U.S. federal financial aid, students must meet satisfactory academic progress standards.

Application Process

  • Apply for admission to the Stevens Doctoral Program at Chicago Booth.
  • Upon admission, financial aid is automatically awarded; no separate application is required.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress to retain funding.​
     
  • Documents Required:
    • Application for admission to the PhD program
    • GRE/GMAT scores (as per program requirements)
    • Letters of recommendation
    • Transcripts
    • Statement of purpose
    • Resume/Curriculum Vitae

Scholarship Benefits

  • Funding Coverage:
    • Full tuition support for five to six years.
    • Annual stipend of $50,000 (guaranteed through years 1–5)
    • Student health insurance.
    • Graduate Student Services Fee coverage.
    • Computer or computer subsidy.
    • Access to research and conference travel funding (up to $3,000 per academic year).
       
  • Duration of Funding
    • Five to six years, contingent on satisfactory academic progress.
       
  • Extra Benefits:
    • Guaranteed teaching assistantships in the third and fourth years.
    • Opportunities for research assistantships throughout the program.
    • Access to additional funding for specific projects through the Stevens Program or Booth’s research centers.
