Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have applied for admission to one of the following postgraduate programs at the University of Edinburgh, commencing in September 2025:
- MSc by Research in French
- MSc by Research in Spanish (Hispanic Studies)
- MSc in Translation Studies – specialising in French or Spanish
- Applicants should have, or expect to obtain, the equivalent of a UK first-class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level.
- Applicants must have been domiciled in Scotland for a minimum of four years prior to starting the degree.
- Overseas applicants will be liable for the difference between the UK and Overseas fee rates
Application Process
- Applicants with a live application for a relevant program will be contacted shortly after the application deadline with information on the award application process.
- Documents Required:
- Completed scholarship application form.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Research proposal outlining the research to be undertaken, methodology, and an explanation of its importance and originality.
- Statement of financial support/scholarships currently receiving, including duration.
- Two academic references.
Scholarship Benefits
- Funding Coverage:
- Full tuition fees at the Home/UK rate for one academic year.

- Award holders are expected to be active members of the postgraduate community and engage with opportunities to present their work to the wider student and staff body during the period covered by their award.
