Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be ordinarily resident in India or have previously studied at an Indian higher education institution.​
  • For DPhil candidates: Open to all full-time DPhil courses, provided the proposed area of study aligns with the OICSD's research agenda on sustainable development in India.
  • For MSc candidates: Must have been accepted for certain graduate taught courses related to the OICSD's core research themes. ​

Application Process

  • Submit an application for graduate study to the relevant department at the University of Oxford by the appropriate deadline.​
  • All eligible candidates who have applied for graduate study by the relevant funding deadline will be considered. 

 

  • Documents Required:
    • Completed application form for the chosen program.
    • Academic transcripts.​
    • Personal statement detailing the relevance of the proposed study to sustainable development in India.​
    • Reference letters.​
    • Any additional documents as specified by the department or the OICSD.​
