Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be nationals and residents of countries classified as low- or low-middle-income by the World Bank.
- Applicants must have applied for admission to an eligible postgraduate taught Master’s degree in the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh.
- The scholarship is not open to applicants who have already been awarded a scholarship from the University of Edinburgh for 2024–2025.
- Applicants should demonstrate academic merit and a strong personal statement indicating their commitment to humanitarian engineering and development.
Application Process
- Applications are to be submitted online via the University of Edinburgh scholarship portal (MyEd).
- The scholarship application is only accessible after an application for admission to an eligible program has been submitted.
- Documents Required:
- Completed scholarship application form.
- Personal statement.
- Evidence of country of nationality and residence.
- Proof of application to a School of Engineering MSc program.
Scholarship Benefits

- The scholarship covers full overseas tuition fees.
