Eligibility Criteria

  • Program Completion: Must be a graduating student from a degree, diploma, or certificate program at Algonquin College.
  • International Status: Must have attended Algonquin College on a valid student visa.
  • Academic Standing: Demonstrated academic excellence throughout the program.
  • Extracurricular Involvement: Active participation in extracurricular activities within the college community.

Application Process

  • Application/Nomination: Graduating students can either apply directly or be nominated by fellow students, faculty members, or others within the college community.
  • Submission: Details regarding the application or nomination process, including deadlines and required forms, can be obtained by contacting the Financial Aid & Student Awards Office.
  • Documents Required:
    • Completed application or nomination form (as applicable).
    • Proof of acceptance or enrollment in a full-time program at Algonquin College.
    • Academic transcripts demonstrating academic excellence.
    • Letter(s) of recommendation highlighting extracurricular involvement and commitment to promoting multiculturalism and diversity.

Scholarship Benefits

  • Funding Coverage: Covers up to 50% of the tuition fees for the first year of study.
  • Duration of Funding: One-time award presented at the time of graduation.
  • Extra Benefits: Recognition during the college's convocation ceremonies, enhancing the recipient's professional profile and providing networking opportunities within the college community.
