Eligibility Criteria
- Refugee or asylum seeker status within the last 5 years, or
- Current or proposed program of study impacted by political environments or changes in immigration law.
- Registered full-time, newly admitted, or transfer student to an undergraduate program at the University of Toronto.
- Student studying on a temporary basis (e.g., exchange) at the University of Toronto during a time of conflict or political turmoil in their home country.
- Demonstrated financial need.
- Preference given to Syrian refugees.
Application Process
- Applicants are automatically considered for the scholarship upon admission; no separate application is required.
Scholarship Benefits
- Funding Coverage:
- CAD $10,000 applied as a tuition fee reduction.
- CAD $10,000 applied as a tuition fee reduction.
- Duration of Funding:
- Awarded for the first year of the undergraduate program.
