Eligibility Criteria
- Fourth-year medical student at the University of Toronto's Temerty Faculty of Medicine.
- Documented financial need, with preference given to students experiencing economic hardship.
- Interest in rural medicine.
- Demonstrated humanitarianism and compassion in interactions with patients and families.
- Potential interest in emergency medicine and/or international health.
Application Process
- Award applications become available in March. Prospective applicants should consult the Temerty Faculty of Medicine's admissions office or the university's financial aid office for specific application procedures and deadlines.
- Documents Required:
- Completed scholarship application form.
- Proof of enrollment in the fourth year of the MD program.
- Documentation demonstrating financial need.
- Personal statement highlighting interest in rural medicine, emergency medicine, international health, and examples of humanitarianism and compassion in patient interactions.
