Eligibility Criteria

  • Enrollment or admission to a graduate program at the University of Michigan.​
  • Specific scholarships may have additional criteria, such as:​
    • Residency in certain areas (e.g., Detroit, MI; King County, WA).
    • Enrollment in specific schools or colleges within the university (e.g., Ross School of Business, School of Public Health).​
    • Demonstrated financial need and/or academic merit.​
    • Background or experience (e.g., work at Camp Michigania, attendance at high school or college in China).​
  • U.S. citizenship or eligible non-U.S. citizenship status may be required for certain scholarships.​

Application Process

  • Apply for admission to a graduate program at the University of Michigan.​
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for need-based scholarships.​
  • After admission, complete the "My Scholarship Profile" in the Campus Finances section of Wolverine Access to provide additional information for scholarship consideration.​
  • For scholarships requiring a separate application, submit the necessary materials as specified by the scholarship guidelines.​
     
  • Documents Required:
    • Completed FAFSA form.​
    • University admission application.​
    • Additional documents as specified by individual scholarships (e.g., essays, letters of recommendation, proof of residency).​
