Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Demonstrated academic excellence and research potential.
  • TOEFL or IELTS scores are required for non-native English speakers.
  • GRE scores are not required.​

Application Process

  • Prepare and submit an online application through the University of Michigan's application portal.
  • Submit all required documents, including transcripts, letters of recommendation, and proof of English proficiency.
     
  • Documents Required:
    • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
    • Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS), if applicable.
    • Letters of recommendation.
    • Statement of purpose or personal statement.
    • Resume or curriculum vitae.

Scholarship Benefits

  • Funding Coverage:
    • Full tuition waiver for the duration of the program.
    • 12-month annual stipend, including summer funding.
    • Health insurance coverage.
    • Teaching assistantships (Graduate Student Instructor positions) with a 50% effort (16.5 to 20 hours a week).
       
  • Duration of Funding:
    • Four years of full funding, with additional support in the fifth year, and tuition and health insurance coverage in the sixth year if needed.
