Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be admitted to the MFA program in Art Practice at UC Berkeley.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
- The program is full-time; part-time enrollment is not permitted.
Application Process
- Submit the UC Berkeley Graduate Division application, selecting the Art Practice MFA program.
- $135 for U.S. applicants; $155 for international applicants. Fee waivers may be available for eligible applicants.
- Supporting Documents:
- Transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
- Three letters of recommendation.
- Statement of Purpose and Personal History Statement.
- Portfolio of recent work.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) or resume.
- TOEFL or IELTS scores for international applicants.
Scholarship Benefits
- Funding Coverage
- Full payment of tuition and fees, including student health insurance.
- Annual living expense stipend, funded through a combination of fellowships and Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) or Graduate Student Researcher (GSR) appointments.
- Duration of Funding
- Two years of financial support, contingent upon satisfactory academic progress.
- Two years of financial support, contingent upon satisfactory academic progress.
