Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be citizens and permanent residents of Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Pakistan, or the USA.
  • They should have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at a Scottish university on an eligible course.
  • Demonstrate the ability to cover the remaining tuition fees and living costs.
  • Not have previously studied in Scotland.
  • Meet the language requirements of the course.

  • Eligible Universities & Programs:
    • The University of Edinburgh offers several eligible master's programsunder the Saltire Scholarships. For instance, within the Moray House School of Education and Sport, eligible programs include:
    • MSc Dance Science & Education
    • MSc Outdoor Education
    • MSc Outdoor Environmental & Sustainability Education
    • MSc Performance Psychology
    • MSc Physical Activity for Health
    • MSc Strength & Conditioning

Application Process

  • Applications are submitted online through the official Saltire Scholarships portal.

 

  • Documents Required:
    • Proof of identity and citizenship.
    • A conditional or unconditional offer letter from a Scottish university.
    • Academic transcripts and certificates.
    • A personal statement detailing reasons for applying and how the chosen course aligns with future goals.
    • Evidence of the ability to meet remaining tuition fees and living costs.

Scholarship Benefits

    • Each scholarship is worth £8,000, which contributes towards tuition fees for the duration of one academic year.

    • The scholarship is tenable for one academic year and is applied towardstuition fees.
