Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Master's degree not required; both post-baccalaureate and post-master's applicants are considered.
- Active and unencumbered RN license from any U.S. state prior to enrollment.
- International applicants must hold a nursing license from a recognized jurisdiction.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) nursing programs.
- For non-native English speakers, proof of English proficiency is required unless exempted.
- GRE is not required for admission consideration.
Application Process
- Complete the online application through the Rackham Graduate School portal.
- Pay the application fee: $75 for U.S. citizens/permanent residents; $90 for international applicants. Fee waivers may be available through Rackham.
- Submit the following documents:
- Academic Statement of Purpose (max 1000 words) detailing professional goals and research interests.
- Personal Statement (max 500 words) reflecting on background and experiences influencing the decision to pursue a Ph.D.
- Transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
- Three letters of recommendation.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Proof of English proficiency (if applicable).
