Eligibility Criteria
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents
- Demonstrated high academic achievement, including strong quantitative and verbal skills
- Significant leadership experience both in and out of the classroom
- A deep interest in serving society
- Clear intent to study engineering at Johns Hopkins University
Application Process
- No separate application required. All applicants to Johns Hopkins University are automatically considered for the Clark Scholars Program.
- Documents Required:
- Standard undergraduate application materials as required by Johns Hopkins University.
- Submission of SAT, ACT, AP, IB, or other standardized test scores that reflect academic ability.
- Supplemental essays as part of the university application.
Scholarship Benefits

Additional Details
- Clark Scholars are required to enroll in two specific courses during their first year:
- Fall semester: Foundations of American Enterprise.
- Spring semester: Clark Scholar Leadership Challenge.
- Students are encouraged to take additional courses in innovation, entrepreneurship, or management-related topics.
- Scholars must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.8, remain enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program, and meet annual financial aid application deadlines.
