First-time university students entering a full-time undergraduate degree program.
Transfer, Mature, Diploma, Exchange, Special, Part-time, and Visiting students are not eligible.
For Major Entrance Scholarships, emphasis is placed on academic excellence as the first priority, followed by demonstrated leadership in school or community activities.

No separate application is required; all applicants to McGill undergraduate degree programs are automatically considered, provided they meet the minimum academic requirements.

Documents Required:
- All grades and interim grades granted up to the admissions application deadline date.
- Subsequent grades (interim or final) forwarded to the admissions office as soon as they are issued.

Funding Coverage:
- One-year Entrance Scholarships: $3,000 (non-renewable).
Duration of Funding:
- One-year Entrance Scholarships: One-time award.
Extra Benefits:
- All Entrance Scholarship awardees entering university in September are guaranteed one of their top three choices of residence building, provided they apply by the residence application deadline.
- Eligibility for priority registration.
- Recipients of Prestige ($10,000), Greville Smith ($12,000), and Schulich Leaders Engineering or Science scholarships will be invited to participate in the Prestige Scholars mentorship program.

All major entrance scholarship applications must be submitted online via the Undergraduate Admissions Applicant Portal, no later than midnight, Montreal time, on the deadline dates listed above.
