Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be enrolled as full-time graduate students in the ECE department at the University of Toronto.
  • Students must maintain good academic standing and demonstrate satisfactory progress in their research and coursework.

Application Process

  • Prospective students must apply for admission to the ECE graduate program through the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) application portal.
  • Upon admission, students are automatically considered for the standard funding package. 
  • No separate application is required for departmental funding.

 

  • Documents Required:
    • Completed online application form
    • Statement of Purpose
    • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
    • Three letters of reference
    • Curriculum Vitae or Resume
    • Proof of English language proficiency (if applicable)

Scholarship Benefits

  • Funding Coverage:
    • The ECE department offers a comprehensive funding package that includes:
    • Tuition and incidental fees
    • A competitive stipend to cover living expenses.

  • Duration of Funding:
    • Funding is provided for the standard duration of the graduate program, subject to satisfactory academic progress:
    • MASc: Up to 2 years
    • PhD: Up to 4 years
