Student Leader Scholarship

Academic Excellence: Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic performance.
Leadership and Creativity: Candidates should exhibit strong leadership qualities, charisma, and creativity.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Applicants should be entrepreneurial-minded and intend to pursue a career in technology, engineering, entrepreneurship and business enterprise, or applied scientific research.
Financial Need: While not mandatory, strong consideration is given to students with financial need.

Nomination: Each Canadian high school (and CÉGEPs in Québec) can nominate one graduating student annually.
University Application: Nominees must apply to at least one of the participating universities in a STEM program.
Scholarship Application: Nominated students complete the Schulich Leader Scholarships application, which includes essays and reference letters.

Documents Required:
- Completed scholarship application form.
- Official high school transcripts.
- Two reference letters highlighting the applicant's leadership, academic achievements, and character.
- Personal essays detailing the applicant's interest in STEM, leadership experiences, and future aspirations.

Funding Coverage:
- Engineering Scholarships: Valued at $120,000 CAD, distributed as $30,000 per year over four years.
- Science, Technology, or Mathematics Scholarships: Valued at $100,000 CAD, distributed as $25,000 per year over four years.
Duration of Funding:
- Funding spans four years, contingent upon the recipient maintaining the scholarship's renewal criteria.
Extra Benefits:
- Recipients join an esteemed network of Schulich Leaders, gaining access to mentorship opportunities, networking events, and potential internships.
