Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be ordinarily resident in and nationals of eligible developing and emerging economies.
  • Must apply to one of the eligible graduate courses at the University of Oxford.
  • Should demonstrate a commitment to return to their country of ordinary residence upon completion of their studies.
  • Must exhibit a connection between their subject of study and long-term career goals, explaining how they plan to contribute to public life in their home country or at a wider regional or international level.

Application Process

  • Graduate Application:
    • Submit a complete application for your chosen graduate course at the University of Oxford by the relevant January deadline. Detailed course application procedures are outlined on the respective course pages.
       
  • Scholarship Application:
    • Alongside your course application, complete the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement and upload it as part of your graduate application form. The statement template is available on the 
       
  • Documents Required:
    • Completed graduate application form.
    • Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement.
    • Standard supporting documents for the chosen course (e.g., academic transcripts, CV, personal statement, references).
    • Evidence of meeting the English language proficiency requirements.

Scholarship Benefits

  • Funding Coverage:
    • Course Fees: Full coverage of tuition fees
    • .Living Expenses: A grant for living costs (for example, at least £19,237 for the 2025–26 academic year).
  • Duration of Funding:
    • Awards are made for the full duration of the agreed course.
