Princeton Society of Fellows Postdoctoral Fellowship

Candidates for/recipients of doctoral degrees in Education, Jurisprudence, and from Princeton University are not eligible.
Applicants who are ABD (All But Dissertation) need to upload an official letter by the Department Chair or Director of Graduate Studies confirming “progress to degree” as part of their online application.
ABD candidates who are awarded a fellowship will be asked to provide an official document from their institution’s Registrar or Dean of the Graduate School at the time of their appointment (no later than June 15, 2025).

- Cover Letter (1½ single-spaced pages maximum, addressed to the search committee)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Dissertation Abstract (one page)
- Research Proposal (maximum of three pages, single-spaced)
- Writing Sample (one chapter of the dissertation or one published article)
- Two Course Proposals
- Three Letters of Recommendation
