Hold nationality in a country outside the EU/EEA, the UK, and Switzerland.
Meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands.
Have not previously studied outside of your home country.
Have been admitted to the Master's in Public Policy and Human Development at UNU-MERIT/Maastricht University.
Hold a Bachelor's or pre-Master's degree.

Register for the Master's programme in Public Policy and Human Development at UNU-MERIT/Maastricht University
After submitting your application, you will receive a student ID number from UM. Use this ID to complete and submit the Scholarship Application Form.
You can apply for the Master's programme and the scholarship simultaneously. However, you must be conditionally approved for admission to the Master's programme to be awarded the scholarship.
A handling fee of €100 (excluding bank costs) is required as part of the programme’s admissions procedure. This fee is refunded once you have started your studies.
Documents Required:
- Completed application for the Master's programme via Studielink.
- Scholarship Application Form (accessible after receiving UM student ID).
- Supporting documents as specified in the scholarship application form (e.g., motivation letter, CV, academic transcripts).

Funding Coverage:
- Full tuition fee waiver of €21,400 for the academic year 2025/26.
Duration of Funding:
- 12 months (the duration of one academic year of the Master's programme).
