Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an incoming undergraduate student at UCLA.
- Must be graduating from either Bell High School or Huntington Park High School in Los Angeles.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Demonstrated financial need.
- Preference given to students who also attended Nimitz Middle School in Los Angeles.
- Completion of the FAFSA.
Application Process
- Access the application through the UCLA Prospective Student Scholarship Portal
- Sign in or create an account on the portal.
- Complete the general application and any supplemental questions specific to the Delson Scholarship.
- Upload required documents, including a CV/Resume and a 100-150 word bio focusing on leadership and extracurricular experiences.
- Provide the name and email of a recommender who is not a peer or family member; they will receive a link to submit their recommendation.
- Documents Required:
- Completed application form.
- CV/Resume.
- 100-150 word bio highlighting leadership and extracurricular activities.
- Letter of recommendation from a non-peer, non-family member.
- FAFSA confirmation.
- Responses to supplemental questions regarding educational background and personal experiences.
Scholarship Benefits
- $10,000 scholarship, renewable for four years.
- Up to four years, contingent on meeting renewal criteria.
