Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom.
- Identify as Black or Mixed-Black ethnicity.
- Hold an offer for a full-time or part-time master's or DPhil (PhD) course starting in the 2025–26 academic year.
- Must have been ordinarily resident in the UK for three years prior to the course start date, excluding time spent in the UK for full-time education.
Application Process
- Submit a complete graduate course application via the University of Oxford's graduate admissions portal by the relevant deadline (November, December, or January, depending on the course).
- Ensure that ethnicity information is included in the application to be automatically considered for the scholarship.
- No separate scholarship application form is required.
- Documents Required:
- Completed graduate application form.
- Academic transcripts.
- CV/resume.
- Personal statement.
- References.
- Proof of English language proficiency (if applicable).
Scholarship Benefits
- Funding Coverage:
- Full course fees.
- Grant for living expenses at the UKRI rate (at least £15,609 per year).
- Duration of Funding:
- Awards are made for the full duration of the fee liability for the agreed course.
