Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be enrolled in or intend to pursue full-time graduate studies at the master's or doctoral level in Ontario.
- A minimum academic standing of 80% (A−) over the last two years of study is required.
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or international students with a valid student visa are eligible.
- Applicants must not have exceeded the lifetime maximum of OGS awards: two years for master's students and four years for doctoral students.
Application Process
- Applicants must apply through their respective graduate unit at their chosen Ontario university.
- Each university has its own application process and internal deadlines; applicants should consult their institution's graduate studies office for specific details.
- Documents Required:
- Completed OGS application form.
- Official academic transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
- Two academic references.
- A statement of interest or research proposal.
Scholarship Benefits
- Funding Coverage:
- The scholarship provides $5,000 per academic term.
Recipients can receive funding for two or three consecutive terms, totaling $10,000 or $15,000 respectively.

- Funding is provided for one academic year, covering two or three consecutive terms.
