Enzyme production and hydrolysis of C5 sugars.CSIR - National Institute For Interdisciplinary Science and Technology ( NIIST), Trivandrum
My project mainly consist of a main component as well as a minor project. 1.Worked on enzyme production for the hydrolysis of C5 sugars. 2.Did screening for organisms for enzyme production required for C6 sugar hydrolysis. The major project involved the production of enzyme from wheat bran for the hydrolysis of C5 sugars for the production of ethanol. The minor project, screening for organisms for enzyme production required for C6 sugar hydrolysis. did not yield the desired results due to time constraints but some growth/zone formations could be observed which showed the potential for future projects.
