Research and Experimentation on Replacing Iridium Catalyst for OER in PEM ElectrolysisZBT THE HYDROGEN AND FUEL CELL CENTER
This task involves conducting research on alternative catalysts to replace iridium for the Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) in Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolysis. The focus will be on identifying and testing more cost-effective and sustainable catalysts. The experimental component includes assisting a master's thesis student in: • Using a catalyst coating spraying machine to apply the alternative catalysts. • Setting up and operating a PEM electrolyzer to evaluate the performance of the newly applied catalyst.
